What do you value in the makeup community and what do you expect from brands when you look for brands to shop from?

I look for affordability, quality, cruelty free, and inclusivity. I watch creators critiquing all sides of shade ranges regularly to keep learning, but I noticed that even when darker complexion products are released, undertones or depths in general are not up to par. We can all advocate as the beauty community for everyone to get foundations, contours, blushes and bronzers that we deserve and can wear every day.

In order to make change in the beauty community, we need to evaluate who we follow and whose pockets we line with our money. Money is power, and if we give power to companies that don’t believe in inclusivity in a creative space, how do you think they treat people in a personal space?

In order to have a less fake atmosphere in the beauty world as far as beauty standards go, we need to be honest with ourselves and be honest about products.

Companies and influencers need to stay honest as well!

I have so many products that I want to review and not enough time to review them, but you can bet that I’ve used all of these products for more than a month in different ways.

(I need to get more time in my day and more tech savvy so I can sit down and make a video reviewing products 😵‍💫)

Final thought: if an influencer shows you who they are the first time, believe them. there’s a difference between doing some dumb shit and needing to learn from it because the internet is unfortunately where most people go to do dumb shit, and people doing absolutely vile things for clicks and views because they can’t stand the idea of not being relevant anymore.

If the personality of the current influencer under fire for out of touch ideology about losing a job (and admitting to liking minors) and the current person in the Oval Office were a Venn diagram, it would be a circle. Remember that when you’re buying products.
