A new (and slightly scary) development in life—I have PCOS. I’d love to learn from people who have successfully managed theirs because I feel lost. There has to be more to it than what I’ve been doing for years before considering this as a potential diagnosis. Hoping to hear from the PCOS community and get book, podcast, or even YouTube suggestions! Thank you 🖤 If I could name this look it would be “corrosion”, representing the internal decay I feel when I lose control of myself with my compulsions and my trichotillomania. The amount of hair I lost in the last two weeks has been awful. But I got a kickass makeup look out of it so I can’t complain too much lol. Having trichotillomania has been a pain for me the last two months. But I have some tools now to try to make it work. I received my @habitbandz last night and every time my scalp itches or I feel like I want my tweezers, I click the button. I also make sure I don’t scratch my head too much to keep my @habitaware bracelet from buzzing. I have a scalp massager for when I shampoo in the shower to stimulate growth and mitigate itches and then I wear this cap on my head to keep me from seeing my bald spots that are triggering me. It feels like an okay system even though I feel a restlessness in my chest right now. But let’s continue to see where this goes! Now tell me why we gotta have a winter that’s 70 degrees out? Link in bio. Christmas Blues 2025 Threw away tweezers.. again. The last month has been extremely difficult. Today I hit some depression, and though I pulled again, I didn’t emotionally eat and that’s still a win. Fighting compulsions that reach for comfort instead of sitting with uncomfortable feelings is so much harder than I thought. I usually cooperate with the @obsessless_ollie app but I didn’t do very well today. I was very resistant to the idea of sitting uncomfortably and I need to figure out why that’s so hard right now. I can’t be avoidant forever.
